Volunteer your time

South Brooklyn Sanctuary is a grassroots effort and cannot operate without new volunteers.

Our leadership team will work with you to identify a role that fits your skills and interests. We need volunteers to help people fill out their own immigration forms, provide translation, print personal documents, assist with referrals to outside legal providers and accompany people to Immigration Court and ICE appointments. We also welcome fundraising support, including help with grant writing, fundraising events and collecting in-kind donations. (We can always use basic office supplies, including printers, toner, ink, paper, business envelopes, and stamps.) All contributions to South Brooklyn Sanctuary are eligible for IRS 501(c) non-profit tax deduction.​

We are in the process of hiring a full-time Program Director to increase training and support to volunteers.​
